Eastern Florida State Women’s Soccer Lauren Pastor, Ana Alvarez Garcia Named to United Soccer All-America Team

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A pair of Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer players were named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I Men’s All-America Team.

Goalkeeper Lauren Pastor and midfielder Ana Alvarez Garcia were both named to the All-America team.

Pastor, a freshman from Paris, France, has started 19 games this season and went 12-4 with seven shutouts with a 0.66 goals-against average. Pastor was excellent in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament team.

Garcia, a sophomore from Asturias, Spain, started in 18 games and scored a goal and had three assists with the only goal being a game-winner. Garcia added three assists and in her two seasons has started 31 games with four goals and eight assists.

Both were named to NJCAA Division I All-America teams last week.

Pastor, Garcia and Nancy Almanza were all named to the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I Men’s All-East Region team.

The teams will be recognized at the United Soccer Coaches All-America ceremony on Saturday, January 13 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
