Cocoa Tigers OL Chavez ‘Sandman’ Thompson Decommits from University of Oregon

Cocoa Tigers interior offensive lineman Chavez “Sandman” Thompson announced his decommitment from the University of Oregon on Monday via social media.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Cocoa Tigers interior offensive lineman Chavez “Sandman” Thompson announced his decommitment from the University of Oregon on Monday via social media.

Thompson picked the Ducks over offers from Ole Miss, Tennessee, Miami, Penn State, and Florida State, among others.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 300 pound Brevard County native had been committed to the Ducks since May 2023.

He currently has over 25 offers to play collegiate football.
