BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department and Chief Mario Augello recently recognized department members during an award ceremony.

Palm Bay police acknowledged and celebrated the achievements of award recipients for the quarter.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our deserving recipients for their unwavering dedication and outstanding contributions in serving our community,” said Palm Bay Police spokesperson.

The City of Palm Bay Police Department is authorized 172 sworn police officers, in addition to numerous civilian and support personnel.

The police agency is broken into various sections, such as the Uniform Services Division, Support Services Division, and the Criminal Investigations Division.

Each section assigns officers to various tasks, such as patrol, traffic enforcement, training officers, detectives, and similar tasks. There are three police districts within the city. Police officers are assigned to each district.
