BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Ted Kimmey era will kick off tonight for the Cocoa Beach Minutemen when they host Father Lopez on Space Coast Daily TV, presented by Erdman Automotive.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Coach Kimmey, entering his first season as the Cocoa Beach High School head football coach, will look to build a winning program again after he worked wonders at Satellite High School.
Kimmey coached the Scorps for five seasons, posting a 36-16 record and culminating with reaching the regional finals in his last season as head coach.
Tonight, Cocoa Beach hopes he can do what he did at Satellite. Build a winner.
The Minutemen went 3-7 last season. Following the season, a coaching change was made for Cocoa Beach.
Father Lopez also had a disappointing season last year after finishing with an overall record of 2-8.
