Request Comes from the Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Orville Susong

The 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, sent a text message to Space Coast Daily regarding 9/11 – Patriot Day. This was in response to a request made to the former president to provide a quote for an article for the 23rd anniversary of 9/11.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, sent me a text message regarding 9/11 – Patriot Day! I have been collecting quotes for an article, from mostly first responders and local officials asking them, “What does 9/11 – Patriot Day mean to you?”
A lot of the credit for the President’s message goes to U.S. Congressman Bill Posey.
I contacted Congressman Posey a few weeks ago and asked him how I could reach the 45th President for a quote. I knew it was a long shot, but I thought, what the heck! The Congressman gave me a contact and I took it from there.
Below is the quote I received from President Trump:
“We will NEVER, EVER FORGET the Great American Patriots lost to us on September 11, 2001, their families, and those who continue to suffer from the aftermath of that Day of Terror. This unprecedented attack on our Nation will forever be seared in our souls, and yet, the Love, Unity, and Fierce Patriotism we experienced in the following days are an Undying Tribute to the fact that there is incredible Evil in this World, but it is no match for the Spirit of America. GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.!” From the President
I am beyond humbled to receive this message from President Trump. I can only imagine how busy his schedule is. To take the time to write this heartfelt message is something I will never forget. Thank you, President Donald J. Trump. God Bless the USA!
