Eastern Florida State College Soccer Player Zak Ford Named Region 8 Player of Week

Titans will play Daytona State College in the semifinals

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer player Zak Ford was named the Region 8 Player of the Week for the week ending October 20.

Ford helped the Titans to two big wins against ranked opponents last week and also had an assist in the win against Monroe University on Saturday night.

The sophomore from Bristol, England played solid defense throughout both matches, holding both Daytona State College and Monroe offenses in check.

“He was the difference against the defending national champions and had a really good game against Daytona State,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Adam Butler said. “He is really Mr. Reliable. He can play anywhere he is asked with no fuss or issues, he is a great passer and delivers a quality ball.”

It is the first time that Ford has been named Player of the Week.

The Titans will play Daytona State College in the semifinals of the Region 8 Tournament on Friday.
