I served 30 years in the United States Military as an enlisted technician in the US Navy and as an Air Force Officer. I want to bring my wealth of experience and commitment to the residents of Melbourne as a candidate for the Melbourne City Council.

Leadership: I have a proven track record of leadership, community organization, strategic planning, and operational excellence. Throughout my years of active duty and active guard reserve (AGR) service, I honed my skills in logistics, acquisition, and operational support.

Commitment to Excellence: Throughout his career, I received many awards and decorations, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Air Force Commendation Medals. These accolades attest to the dedication, exceptional service, and willingness I exemplify to work hard to achieve results.

Educational Background: I’m a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I also achieved an MBA from Webster University while serving at Patrick Air Force Base. I believe that continuous learning is key to development and economic growth.

Community Engagement: My military career instilled a deep sense of duty, service to others, and excellence. Now, I want to serve as the next city councilman of district one so that I can apply these principles to benefit the community of Melbourne. Leadership requires collaboration with diverse teams, listening to the concern of others, and fostering a sense of community to achieve the goal.

Professional Experience: With his military background and business experience, Marcus brings a unique blend of strategic vision, technical expertise, administrative skills and understanding to problem-solving complex challenges. Marcus retired from the Air Force in 2021 with the rank of Lt Col. He currently is a financial representative with Sky Peak Financial, and he has owned Tax Time Solutions LLC since 2005.

Community Priorities: As a candidate for Melbourne City Council, I’m committed to leveraging leadership skills and experience to address key issues facing the community with focus on the following 4 Pillars for Progress:
