BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – On New Years Day 2024, retired Brevard County Judge Alli Majeed was at a social gathering and started experiencing acute coronary symptoms, including rapid heart rate, sweating and elevated blood pressure.
His wife drove him less than 20 minutes away to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center Emergency Department where the emergency care team immediately jumped into action to care for him.
Judge Majeed needed both a quadruple bypass to reroute blood passage to and from his heart, performed by Dr. Seiichi Noda, and cardiac ablation to stabilize an irregular heartbeat by Dr. Vishal Patel, which was essentially a “plumber and an electrician” for the heart and needed to keep Majeed alive.

Judge Majeed would remain in the Holmes Regional Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit for 10 days.
In the above video, Judge Majeed shares his thanks and a takeaway message after this experience. He thought he was fine one minute, and almost died the next. Don’t put off an annual physical or screening – it has changed his outlook on life considerably.
He’s full of gratitude and appreciation for those who worked so hard and so compassionately to save his life, and returned to Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center to say, “Thank you!”
