If you drink and drive, you lose!

Halloween is scarier than you think. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), nearly 40 percent of all fatal crashes on Halloween involve a drunk driver.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – AAA will once again assist stranded motorists and work to keep impaired drivers off the road this holiday season. Beginning Tuesday night, the Auto Club Group will activate its Tow to Go program in Florida and select other states.

“If you’re faced with the decision of driving impaired, put down those keys and pick up the phone to call Tow to Go,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesperson for AAA – The Auto Club Group. “AAA will send a truck to take you and your vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius.”

AAA service technicians anticipate responding to more than 860,000 calls for assistance from drivers with car trouble during the upcoming holidays. As a result, Tow to Go should be treated as a last resort. For a safe and stress-free celebration, plan ahead by identifying a designated driver or arranging a rideshare service.

Tow to Go will be available from 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, to 6 a.m. on Thursday, January 2.

For service, call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246. The program is offered in the following areas: Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, North Dakota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Colorado (Denver), North Carolina (Charlotte), and Indiana (Fort Wayne/South Bend).

The Auto Club Group has provided the Tow to Go program for over 25 years, removing more than 30,000 impaired drivers from the roads since its inception.

Tow to Go Guidelines

Free and available to both AAA members and non-members.
