Titusville Firefighters Respond to Brush Fire Near the 3000 Block of Cheney Highway

The Titusville Fire Department, with assistance from Brevard County Fire Rescue and Florida Forest Service, was on the scene of a bush fire near the 3000 block of Cheney Highway. Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the wooded area just behind a local car dealership at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Fire Department, with assistance from Brevard County Fire Rescue and Florida Forest Service, was on the scene of a bush fire near the 3000 block of Cheney Highway.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the wooded area just behind a local car dealership at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

The current size of the affected area is between 1 and 1.5 acres.

Access to the fire is limited, and brush trucks are being used to assist the Florida Forest Service in managing the fire. Crews are expected to work on extinguishing the fire for most of the day.

Expect smokey conditions in the area as a result.

At this time, the fire is contained, and there is no immediate threat to nearby property.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Florida Forest Service.
