BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — A wave of excitement filled the air as Titusville elected officials, members of the Chamber of Commerce, and Brevard Public Schools leadership gathered to celebrate a major win for local education as the event marked the official presentation of a $50,000 grant awarded for a STEM classroom makeover at Coquina Elementary School.
The grant, made possible through a partnership between the Brevard Public Schools Foundation and Florida Power and Light, will support significant enhancements in STEM learning environments for students.
The initiative was spearheaded by Myesha Fuller, a dedicated STEM teacher at Coquina Elementary, whose vision and commitment to advancing educational opportunities helped bring this funding to fruition.
“This grant represents a powerful investment in the future of our students,” said a BPS spokesperson during the ceremony.
“Thanks to partnerships like this, and educators like Ms. Fuller, we can inspire and prepare our students for the careers of tomorrow.”

Attendees had the opportunity to hear firsthand how the funds will be utilized — from upgrading classroom technology and lab equipment to creating hands-on, interactive learning experiences that bring STEM subjects to life.
Leaders from Florida Power and Light emphasized the importance of supporting education initiatives that foster innovation and critical thinking skills, key components for the next generation workforce.
The event concluded with a tour of the current STEM facilities and a glimpse into the exciting upgrades planned for the coming months.
With community support and continued investment, Titusville is poised to become a shining example of how public-private partnerships can transform education and unlock limitless potential for young learners.
