BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A U.S. Postal Service employee was arrested after allegedly consuming alcohol while on duty, driving against traffic, and discarding plastic cups from her vehicle, according to police.

An arrest report states that Katelyne Dye, 33, told officers she had been invited to a party along her mail route and consumed two shots of vodka.

Authorities say Dye drove the wrong way into oncoming traffic and was observed throwing red Solo cups out of her postal vehicle.

She was taken into custody and later released on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.

The U.S. Postal Service has not yet commented on the incident.
