BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Lucas Stedman was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated felony animal cruelty, according to information released by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 11, Stedman allegedly shot a neighborhood cat with a high-powered BB gun.

Stedman is currently being held on a $50,000 bond following his arrest.

Under Florida law, aggravated animal cruelty is a felony offense involving the intentional act of causing unnecessary pain, suffering, or death to an animal.
