TRAFFIC ALERT: Nighttime Lane Closure on East Strawbridge Avenue for Water Line Repairs Coming Up

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The City of Melbourne’s Public Works and Utilities Department announced a temporary overnight lane closure on East Strawbridge Avenue to accommodate emergency repairs to a water service line, beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 7.

The right eastbound lane of East Strawbridge Avenue, directly in front of Melbourne City Hall at 900 E. Strawbridge Avenue, will be closed to traffic. The closure is expected to remain in effect until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8.

The overnight schedule was selected to minimize impact on daily traffic flow through the busy corridor. Crews will be working through the night to complete necessary infrastructure improvements with as little disruption as possible.
