West Melbourne Police Department Offers Child Car Seat Safety Installation, School Starts on Monday

BREVARD COUNTY • FLORIDA — The West Melbourne Police Department offers complimentary child passenger safety seat installations and checks as a community service for residents. 

This initiative reflects the department’s continued commitment to promoting roadway safety for the most vulnerable passengers.

WMPD recently assisted a resident in preparing for the arrival of her newborn by providing a child safety seat installation. PSA Montemayor conducted the installation, ensuring the seat was securely and adequately fitted according to safety standards.

Appointments are required for this service, allowing staff to dedicate time and attention to each installation. Parents and guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this free resource to ensure their child’s seats are installed correctly and meets all current safety guidelines.
