Charlie Kirk was in Utah for his 'American Comeback Tour'

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – President Trump announced on Wednesday that Turning Point USA Co-Founder Charlie Kirk has died after being shot at Utah Valley University event.
President Trump made the announcement over Truth Social, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
Kirk, 31, was an American conservative political activist, author, and media personality, who co-founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in 2012 at the age of 18, and had since held leadership roles in its related entities including Turning Point Action, Turning Point Faith, and the Turning Point Endowment.
Kirk was in Utah for a Utah Valley University event on Wednesday as part of his American Comeback Tour.
Kirk was also the host of “The Charlie Kirk Show”, a popular talk radio and podcast program, and as of February 2025, he began hosting a weekday television show, Charlie Kirk Today, on the Trinity Broadcasting Network
