Palm Point Behavioral Health in Titusville to Host Mental Health First Aid Course Nov. 12

Participants will learn to recognize the signs of common mental health challenges

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County is offering an Adult Mental Health First Aid course to equip community members with the skills to support adults experiencing mental health challenges or substance use disorders.

The course will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Palm Point Behavioral Health, 2355 Truman Scarborough Way, Titusville.

Registration is required by 5 p.m. on October 31, and the fee starts at $65 per participant. Interested individuals can register online at HERE.

The evidence-based training is designed for anyone interested in promoting mental wellness in their community, including city staff, educators, first responders, healthcare professionals, faith leaders, and volunteers.

Participants will learn to recognize the signs of common mental health challenges, apply the five-step ALGEE action plan to respond effectively, and connect individuals to local resources and support systems.

“Mental health is a critical part of overall well-being, and communities need informed and compassionate individuals who can offer support,” said UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County.
