BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — High school football playoff action in Brevard County delivered a full slate of intensity Friday night as teams battled through Week 2 of postseason competition.
In one of the evening’s most dramatic finishes, Cocoa outlasted Calvary Christian in a thrilling overtime showdown, securing a 34–33 victory to keep their playoff run alive. The Tigers will now hit the road next week to face No. 1 seed Bradford, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m.
Eau Gallie put together a strong performance on both sides of the ball, defeating Merritt Island 35–14. The Commodores will travel to Bishop Moore next week for their regional final showdown, also scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
It was a tough night for Viera, who fell 49–0 to a dominant Armwood team that controlled the game from start to finish. MCC also faced a challenging matchup, as Carrollwood Day powered its way to a 49–6 win.
