Man Charged Nearly Two Years After Palm Bay Woman Goes Missing Before Christmas

Marissa Garcia, 25, of Palm Bay, was reported missing just two days before Christmas in 2023. According to police, 32-year-old Stefan Eide told authorities that Garcia died from an overdose and that he disposed of her body in a heavily wooded area of Palm Bay.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Nearly two years after a Palm Bay woman vanished, a suspect has been charged in connection with her disappearance.

Marissa Garcia, 25, of Palm Bay, was reported missing just two days before Christmas in 2023.

The case remained unsolved until recently, when investigators identified a suspect.

According to police, 32-year-old Stefan Eide told authorities that Garcia died from an overdose and that he disposed of her body in a heavily wooded area of Palm Bay.

Eide has been charged with two counts of tampering with evidence. Palm Bay police say additional charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
