Space Coast Symphony Orchestra Presents ‘Hooray for Hollywood The Sequel’ in Cocoa Beach

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will bring a blend of cinematic magic and holiday cheer to Cocoa Beach with Hooray for Hollywood The Sequel, a film themed concert scheduled for Saturday, December 13 at 7 p.m. The performance will take place at Riverside Presbyterian Church at 3400 North Atlantic Avenue, offering audiences an evening filled with iconic movie music paired with film clips on the big screen.
The program showcases the work of celebrated composers such as John Williams, Danny Elfman, Ennio Morricone and Leroy Anderson. Holiday classics are woven throughout the concert, including music from Miracle on 34th Street and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The lively Sleigh Ride will set a festive tone, and the audience will be invited to join a sing along of familiar Christmas carols during Christmas Festival.

Violinist Evgeny Komarnitskiy will take center stage in several featured pieces, performing selections from Fiddler on the Roof, the emotional Gabriel’s Oboe from The Mission, the theme from Schindler’s List and music from Cinema Paradiso. Two new works by Florida composers will also be introduced, reaffirming the orchestra’s dedication to presenting fresh and original compositions.
Tickets are available for $35 through the SpaceCoastSymphony.org or at Marine Bank and Trust in Suntree. Admission at the door will be $40. Concertgoers aged eighteen and under, as well as college students with valid identification, may attend all Symphony performances at no cost.

Conductor and Artistic Director Aaron T Collins noted that the concert captures the excitement of Hollywood combined with seasonal warmth. He emphasized the orchestra’s ongoing commitment to performing new works that could easily accompany films of their own.
