Palm Bay Police deployed its K9 Unit while West Melbourne Police provided aerial support
BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Department officers, working alongside the West Melbourne Police Department, successfully located a domestic violence suspect who fled the scene thanks to coordinated efforts between specialized units.

According to police, the suspect attempted to evade officers after a domestic violence incident in Palm Bay.
In response, Palm Bay Police deployed its K9 Unit while West Melbourne Police provided aerial support using its Drone Unit.
The combined ground and aerial search allowed officers to quickly locate the suspect and bring the situation under control.
Officials highlighted the operation as an example of effective interagency cooperation, noting that the ability to share resources and expertise enhances public safety and improves response capabilities during critical incidents.
Both departments expressed appreciation for the partnership, emphasizing that teamwork between neighboring agencies plays a vital role in protecting the community and ensuring suspects are safely and efficiently located.
