FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION – Millions of consumers eligible for refunds tied to a Federal Trade Commission settlement with Amazon may already have received checks for up to $51, while others are still navigating the process or seeking clarification about their eligibility.
As payments continue to roll out, questions about how the refund process works have prompted renewed guidance for affected consumers.
Some individuals have already received their checks and either cashed or deposited them, so no further action is required. Others may have received an email or postcard in recent weeks outlining steps to submit a claim.
However, consumer feedback indicates ongoing confusion about whether a claim is necessary, when payments will arrive, and how to resolve issues with incorrect or missing checks.
The FTC has emphasized that Amazon is managing the refund process, not the federal agency. Consumers are encouraged to contact the administrator handling the settlement on Amazon’s behalf for accurate information.

Questions about missing automatic payments, the legitimacy of claim forms, incorrect names or addresses on checks, portal access issues, or eligibility concerns can be directed to the settlement administrator at admin@SubscriptionMembershipSettlement.com.
Officials note that the administrator can also assist consumers who believe they should have received a payment but did not, as well as those who have already submitted claims and are awaiting refunds. If initial contacts cannot resolve an issue, consumers will be referred to someone who can provide further assistance.
Consumers are also advised to review information on the official refund website and the FTC’s FAQs.
The settlement website is SubscriptionMembershipSettlement.com, a detail officials say can help consumers confirm they are using the correct and legitimate source. Those who still cannot find the answers they need are encouraged to email the settlement administrator directly for help.
