BREVARD COUNTY• BAREFOOT BAY, FLORIDA — Brevard County Fire Rescue has officially placed the new Station 86 and Engine 86 into service, marking a significant addition to emergency response coverage for the Barefoot Bay and Micco communities.
To celebrate the opening, Brevard County Fire Rescue hosted a community event inviting residents to tour the brand-new fire station, meet firefighters and take a close look at the new apparatus now serving the area.

Families and neighbors from across the community stopped by throughout the event to explore the facility and learn more about the services provided by the department. Firefighters were on hand to answer questions and give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the station and its equipment.
County officials also recognized W+J Construction Corp., the company responsible for building the new firehouse, for its role in completing the project. As part of the celebration, the company provided a sweet treat for visitors by bringing in the Mr. Softee ice cream truck, which proved to be a popular stop for families attending the event.

Fire Rescue officials thanked the Barefoot Bay and Micco residents who came out to support the new station, noting that the facility will play an important role in enhancing emergency response and service to the surrounding community.
Station 86 and Engine 86 are now fully operational and ready to respond to calls across the southern Brevard County area.
