BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office gave the public a behind-the-scenes look at its General Crimes Unit during a recent “10-94” ride-along, offering viewers a glimpse into the day-to-day work of deputies across the county.
During the patrol, deputies responded to activity at a local scrap yard—also described as a tow yard—where an investigation quickly escalated. Authorities said the encounter ultimately led to one individual being taken into custody and transported to what Sheriff Wayne Ivey often refers to as “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge,” his nickname for the Brevard County Jail.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was facing more than 5,000 in charges, underscoring the severity of the case and the extensive nature of the investigation.
The ride-along highlighted the unpredictable and fast-paced work handled by the General Crimes Unit, as well as the agency’s continued effort to engage the community by providing a closer look at law enforcement operations across Brevard County.
