WATCH: Eastern Florida State College Softball Team Ranked Sixth in NJCAA Division I Poll
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College softball team is ranked No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.
It is the highest national ranking for the softball program as they moved up from No. 12 to sixth in the poll and are 16-2 heading into a big week in Citrus Conference play.
Northwest Florida State College is ranked second behind Grayson College who is No. 1 for the first time this season.
Northeast Alabama Community College is ranked third with Florida Southwestern State College ranked fourth and Indian River State College rounding out the top five.
The Titans will travel to Indian River for a big conference matchup on Tuesday.

“We are proud of being ranked among the best teams in the nation but know we have to continue to play well to earn the ranking and are focused on the week ahead,” Eastern Florida State College softball coach Andrew Zeger said.
Overall, nine teams from the state of Florida are in the national poll as Santa Fe is No. 8, Seminole State College is No. 15, Miami Dade is 19th, Daytona State College is 21st and Gulf Coast State College is 23rd in the poll.
Eastern Florida State College will be back home on Saturday for a conference doubleheader against No. 4 Florida Southwestern beginning at 2 p.m.
