BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – We have attended many events at the Kia Center in Orlando over the years, and we both agreed that we have never heard a crowd as loud or seen as much excitement as we did at the 2026 Stifel Stars on Ice performance Saturday night.

Gold Medalists in the 2026 Olympics, Alysa Liu, Ilia Malinin, known as the “Quad God,” Amber Glenn, Danny O’Shea, Ellie Kam, Madison Chock, and Evan Bates were just a few of the skaters who wowed the crowd.

There were individual, pair, and group performances.

The skaters looked like they were having as much fun as those in attendance, and, because those group exhibitions are never included in any type of competition or judged event, they brought some of the most exuberant cheers from onlookers.

During a recent interview, we asked O’Shea and Kam about Stars on Ice.

O’Shea described it as a show where “the skaters get to let loose a little bit. There is no scoring, so we get to do all of the parts of skating that make us the happiest and bring us the most joy.”

He went on to say, “You get to see the personalities come out even more.”

And it was evident! The skaters were relishing every minute of the show, sometimes even intentionally falling down at the end of a flawless performance.

Skaters are showmen, but sometimes the enthusiasm or creativity they want to express has to be subdued during a competition.

Not during Stars on Ice!  They were thoroughly indulging in the venue, the ice, and the thousands of delighted fans.

When talking about the public turning out to watch Stars on Ice, Kam said, “It’s way more personal to watch skating in person. Shows (like Stars on Ice) are way more relaxed.”

We completely agree with Kam. If Stars on Ice comes to a city near you, you owe it to yourself to attend. We promise that you won’t regret it!
