BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Here we go again…welcome to Fast Friday with Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputy McLaughlin.
Deputy McLaughlin was on I-95, responding to reports of a reckless driver, when he stumbled upon another one!
As he was driving, he initially observed our Fast Friday driver, Sallyann Lombardi, tailgating vehicles and making unsafe lane changes, almost causing a wreck.
When the lane cleared, she put the pedal to the metal and was going 107 mph in the right lane before traffic slowed her down.
But that didn’t stop her as she found a quick opening in the left lane and got up to 112 mph before she got the chance to meet Deputy McLaughlin.
Unfortunately for her, it probably wasn’t the type of encounter she was expecting, as he informed her that she would be taking an express trip to Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge for being a Super Speeder!
Things only get worse for Sallyann Lombardi from there, as they were conducting an inventory search of her bag and found two small baggies containing a white powdery substance that field-tested positive for cocaine. (BCSO image)

So on top of her speeding and reckless driving charges, she rounded things out with a possession of a controlled substance charge as well.
Kudos to Deputy McLaughlin for working to keep everyone safe, and to Lombardi, who is from out of state; she got the stay of a lifetime here in Brevard County!
