BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Just because it’s Burger King, doesn’t mean you get to have it your way…Kris Kumar however refused to accept that so he chose to help himself.

In mid November of 2025 the manager of the store reported a that unknown person had entered the business, went into the office and entered a code to open the safe.

The Burger King bandit as we will call him, stole approximately $3,500 from the safe before making their escape.

Ironically, Kumar had recently been let go as a store manager after not showing up for a few shifts which as you might imagine made him look a little suspicious, especially since he was the only other person who would know the code to the safe.

East Precinct General Crimes Unit Agent Brian Otto was assigned the case and quickly went to work using cell phone records and other available resources.

Agent Otto was subsequently able to track the moves of Kumar, including to Home Depot, where he made a whopper of a bad decision, by having an extra key to the “castle” made before turning in his uniform and what management believed was his only key.

The honorable Judge Garagozlo signed an arrest warrant for Kumar, where he was charged with one count Burglary of an unoccupied structure, and one count of grand theft.

Kumar provided a full confession to committing the crime, stating that he was upset over back pay he felt the business owed him. Well needless to say he learned the hard way that the “Have it your way” motto doesn’t apply to his feelings and also that the team at the Iron Bar Lodge doesn’t care how he wants it!
