BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Jack in the Box is making a comeback in Brevard County, with plans to open three new locations as part of a major expansion across the Southeast.

Jack in the Box has identified Cocoa, Melbourne, and Palm Bay as future locations and is part of a broader development effort that includes more than 20 locations throughout Central Florida.

“Expanding into Florida, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing states, aligns perfectly with our strategic plan,” said Tim Linderman, the company’s chief development officer, in announcing the expansion.

No opening dates have been announced for the Cocoa, Melbourne, or Palm Bay restaurants, but the planned locations signal the company’s commitment to establishing a long-term presence in Florida after more than four decades away from the state.

For Space Coast residents, the return of the West Coast favorite will add another nationally recognized dining option to a rapidly growing restaurant landscape.

The expansion comes as Brevard County continues to experience a surge in national restaurant development.

Several major fast-food and fast-casual brands have announced new locations along the Space Coast in recent years, driven by population growth and increased economic activity tied to the region’s expanding aerospace, technology, and tourism sectors.

Jack in the Box is perhaps best known for its diverse menu, which extends beyond traditional burgers and fries.

While hamburgers remain a staple, the chain has built a loyal following around its tacos, which have become one of its signature offerings.

According to company history, tacos have been a customer favorite for decades. The brand’s menu has since expanded to include curly fries, loaded fries, chicken sandwiches, onion rings, breakfast burritos, croissant sandwiches, stuffed jalapeños, egg rolls, milkshakes, and mini churros, among other items.

The chain is also recognized for its longtime mascot, “Jack,” a businessman with a large white ping-pong-ball-shaped head who has appeared in advertising campaigns for decades.

In addition to Brevard County, Jack in the Box has announced future Florida locations in communities including Ocala, Leesburg, Daytona Beach, Deltona, DeLand, Edgewater, and Palm Coast.
