BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County voters who want a mail ballot sent to them for the 2026 Primary Election must submit their request by 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.
The Primary Election will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18. Voters can request a ballot through the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections’ online Mail Ballot Request Service, by calling 321-290-VOTE (8683), or by visiting one of the county’s four election administrative offices.
Mail-ballot requests submitted during the current election cycle remain valid through Dec. 31, 2026, according to Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic.
Florida law requires requests for mailed ballots to be received no later than 5 p.m. on the 12th day before an election.
Brevard County voters can find the request service and additional election information at VoteBrevard.gov.
Florida is a closed-primary state, meaning voters registered with a political party generally may vote only in that party’s primary contests. The ballot issued to each voter will list the partisan candidates corresponding with the affiliation shown in the voter’s registration record.
All eligible voters, regardless of party affiliation, may participate in nonpartisan contests appearing on their ballot, including judicial, school board and municipal races, as well as referenda.
The deadline to register or change political-party affiliation for the Aug. 18 Primary Election was July 20.
Under Florida law, registration books close 29 days before an election.
Early voting in Brevard County is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8, through Saturday, Aug. 15. Additional information, sample ballots and voting locations are available through the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections.
