Eastern Florida State College Volleyball Player Leyre Arroyo Sanchez Named FCSAA Offensive Player of Week

Titans will host Hillsborough Community College on Saturday afternoon

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College volleyball player Leyre Arroyo Sanchez was named the FCSAA Division I Offensive Player of the Week.

Arroyo Sanchez is the first Titan to be named FCSAA Offensive Player of the Week since Sofia Kamke in 2022.

The freshman from Madrid, Spain, set a school record with 24 kills against Daytona State College last Saturday. Arroyo Sanchez had 13 kills in the third set to set the record.

It is the second time this season that Arroyo Sanchez has had 20-plus kills in a match, and she is averaging 3.36 kills per set this season, which is fourth-best in the FCSAA. Overall, she has 148 kills in 13 matches this season.

Arroyo Sanchez is 29th in the nation in kills per set and 45th in total kills.

Eastern Florida State College will host Hillsborough Community College on Saturday afternoon in a Citrus Conference match. It will begin at 2 p.m. at Titan Field House, and admission is free.
