BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Interested in learning how to keep bees and harvest your own honey? Join the Beginning Beekeeping class at the UF/IFAS Extension Brevard County Office in Cocoa on Wednesday, October 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This full-day workshop will introduce participants to the fascinating world of honeybees and the essentials of beekeeping.

Topics include:

• Honeybee biology, health, and behavior
• Beekeeping equipment and hive structure
• Start-up costs and what to expect
• Beekeeping rules and regulations
• Live hive demonstration

Participants will gain the foundational knowledge to begin their beekeeping journey, plus lunch is provided.
