Accelerate Brevard has announced a postponement of the upcoming Leadership Forum originally scheduled for November 12 with Congressman Mike Haridopolos.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Accelerate Brevard, formerly the Cocoa Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, has announced a postponement of the upcoming Leadership Forum originally scheduled for November 12 with Congressman Mike Haridopolos.

Late Monday night, the Congressman’s team informed organizers that he had been called back to Washington for votes expected as early as Wednesday afternoon. These votes are tied to efforts aimed at bringing federal employees affected by the ongoing government shutdown back to work.

While the delay is not ideal, Accelerate Brevard expressed full support for Congressman Haridopolos’s involvement in addressing issues that directly impact families, the workforce, and the local community.

The organization noted that after several challenging weeks for many, this development offers hope for meaningful progress toward a resolution.

Efforts are already underway to reschedule the Leadership Forum for a date in 2026. Accelerate Brevard will share the new date once it is confirmed and looks forward to welcoming the Congressman back next year.

President and CEO Jimmy Lane expressed gratitude to members and participants for their understanding and continued support of the organization’s mission to provide valuable programming and leadership engagement opportunities in Brevard County.
