BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Cam Newton’s C1N organization is once again shining a national spotlight on the Space Coast as the “Bless the Babies” youth football championship tournament kicks off in Brevard County for the second consecutive year.
The event, which draws dozens of elite youth teams from across the country, began Tuesday at Viera Regional Park and will run through Sunday, December 14.
This year, 42 teams from across the country—from ages 5U through 13U—made the trip to Viera to compete for national titles. Games are scheduled daily through the championship finale on Sunday.
Viera Regional Park has been transformed into a full tournament village, featuring food trucks, shops, vendors, team gear, and numerous family-friendly attractions.
Newton’s C1N staff and Space Coast officials say they are proud to once again provide a platform for the nation’s top young football talent—right here in Brevard County.
Last year’s tournament was hosted at the McKnight Family Sports Complex in Rockledge, marking the first time the championship came to Brevard. Its return this year underscores the community’s growing reputation as a premier destination for high-profile youth sports events.

Cam Newton is one of the most decorated quarterbacks of his era. A Heisman Trophy and National Championship winner at Auburn University, Newton was selected first overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.
His arrival in the league was historic—Newton became the first quarterback ever to throw for 400 yards in his NFL debut and went on to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Over the next several seasons, Newton led the Panthers to multiple playoff berths and division titles. His peak came during the 2015 season, when he guided Carolina to a 15–1 record, earned NFL MVP honors, and led the team to Super Bowl 50.
Injuries would later hamper his career, and Newton eventually stepped away from the NFL. Since then, he has turned his attention to developing young athletes through his C1N Youth Football Foundation and coaching elite 7-on-7 teams nationwide.
He has also built a significant media presence through his YouTube shows 4th & 1 and Funky Friday, and he recently became a regular contributor on ESPN’s First Take.

“Bringing the Bless the Babies Bowl back to Melbourne was an easy decision. The community support and the welcoming environment for our families are second to none,” said Dr. Ryan Andrews, Director of Football Operations for C1N.
“This tournament is a highly competitive stage for the future of football, and we are proud to host it in a region that truly embraces our mission to uplift and showcase these young men.”
The Space Coast Sports Commission played a major role in securing the event for a second year. Commissioner Terry Parks said the tournament’s return is both a point of pride and an economic win for the region.
“The return of the Bless the Babies Bowl is a huge testament to the Space Coast’s reputation as a top-tier destination for national youth sports,” Parks said.
“This event drives significant hotel bookings and tourism dollars into our community during a key time, and we are thrilled to partner with C1N Sports and the Cam Newton Foundation to welcome these championship-caliber teams back to Melbourne.”
With hundreds of players, coaches, and families traveling for the event, organizers expect a strong boost to local hotels, restaurants, and businesses throughout the championship weekend.
