Chili Cook-Off Raises Support for Brevard County Firefighters and Families

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA — The Brevard County Firefighters Benevolent Association will bring the community together for its 10th Annual Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, January 11, continuing a popular tradition that supports local firefighters and their families.
The event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 401 River Edge Boulevard in Cocoa Village.
Organizers expect a strong turnout of residents, first responders, and local supporters for an afternoon of food, friendly competition, and community spirit.
Firefighters from across Brevard County will showcase their best chili recipes, competing for top honors and bragging rights. At the same time, guests sample a variety of styles, from traditional to bold and creative blends. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite chili during the event’s judging.
In addition to chili tastings, the cook-off is expected to feature family-friendly entertainment, raffles, and opportunities to meet local firefighters.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Brevard County Firefighters Benevolent Association, which assists firefighters and their families during times of illness, injury, or other hardships.
Organizers say the annual cook-off has grown into one of the association’s signature community events, highlighting the strong bond between firefighters and the residents they serve.
Community members are encouraged to arrive early, as popular chili entries often sell out. More information about tickets, participation, and sponsorship opportunities is expected to be released ahead of the event.
