Eastern Florida State College Celebrates Newest EMT, Paramedic Graduates; Applications Open for Fall Programs

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College is celebrating its newest class of Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic graduates as they prepare to put their training into action and serve communities when it matters most.

The graduates completed training through EFSC’s Public Safety Institute, which prepares students for careers in emergency medical services and other public safety fields.

“Congratulations to Eastern Florida State College’s newest EMT & Paramedic graduates! You’re ready to put your training into action & serve your community when it matters most,” EFSC said. “Your Titan family is proud to support you as you take this next step.”

As the latest graduates begin their careers, EFSC is already looking toward its next group of emergency medical professionals.

The Public Safety Institute is accepting applications for its upcoming EMT and Paramedic programs, with applications for both programs due by Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.

Prospective students must complete an online application for admission to Eastern Florida State College as well as a separate online application to the Public Safety Institute.

Mandatory intake sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Melbourne Campus Student Union, Building 16.

The Paramedic program session begins at 9 a.m., followed by the EMT session at 1 p.m. Applicants will receive additional information by email.

Orientation sessions will be held at the same location on Tuesday, Oct. 27, with the Paramedic orientation beginning at 9 a.m. and the EMT orientation at 1 p.m.

The EMT program prepares students for entry-level positions in emergency medical and first responder services.

Graduates can pursue certification and use their training as a pathway toward careers in the fire service or advanced paramedic education.

EFSC’s Paramedic program provides advanced training in emergency medical services. Graduates earn a college certificate in prehospital advanced life support and are eligible to take Florida’s Paramedic certification examinations.
