Orchestra conductor Aaron T. Collins will lead the stirring salute to America

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Grab a lawn chair and settle in under the stars for Red, White & Brass, a free patriotic celebration on Saturday, October 10 at 7 p.m.

Sponsored by SpaceX and presented by the Space Coast Symphony Wind Orchestra & Chorus, this all-American concert for families will honor our veterans at the new Amphitheater at Veterans Memorial Park, 400 South Sykes Creek Parkway in Merritt Island.

Orchestra conductor Aaron T. Collins will lead the stirring salute to America during an evening of soaring music and joyful voices.

At the heart of the event is a musical tribute honoring every branch of the United States Armed Forces.

The profound emotion of John Williams’s Hymn to the Fallen and the familiar strains of America the Beautiful invite us to reflect, remember, and celebrate together.

Red, White & Brass will include jaunty John Philip Sousa marches, along with a world premiere of a new work by Space Coast composer Mark Piszczek.

The Space Coast Symphony Chorus lends its voices to several selections, and audience members will be called upon to help create sound effects when cued.

Children in attendance can try various musical instruments at the instrument petting zoo and get a conducting lesson from Aaron during the concert.

Admission is free, and seating is on the lawn. The audience is asked to bring a chair or blanket and invited to dress in red, white, and blue in a show of patriotic solidarity.
