Linda Wiggins is a writer, author and community leader living in Melbourne, Fla., with her husband and two children. She founded the nonprofit RelatioNSync out of her passion to give others what she was given, a chance to have a family of her own with healthy dating skills. She blazed an eight-year path consuming all forms of relationship education until she realized "It’s Not About Finding Mr. Right, but First Being Mrs. Right," the title of her forth-coming book and theme for giving back to women who discover that the tools for success in the workplace do not necessarily produce victory in love. RelatioNSync is partnering with the nonprofit Women Reaching Women (www.womenreachingwomenfl.org) to produce Coming Home to Earth: Reconnecting with Life and Love, a special weekend retreat for veterans returning from combat since Sept. 11, 2001 and their spouses. The event will be led by the one-and-only Dr. John Gray of “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” fame, the best-selling book second only to the Bible. Co-led by Dr. Scott Fairchild, co-founder of the nonprofit Welcome Home Vets and an expert combat-trauma counselor, the event will address skyrocketing rates of divorce and suicide in our heroes. Linda is the grant writer for the nonprofits Promise in Brevard, a planned residential community founded by Betsy and Luke Farmer for young adults with special needs, and Cornerstone, which helps elderly and disabled individuals remain in their own homes as they age.
