The accident occurred on Davie Court in West Melbourne in the Compass Pointe subdivision.

Lieutenant Don Slayman of Brevard County Fire Rescue said the rescue unit was parked at the time of the crash.

“It was very minor,” said Slayman. “While on scene of a medical call a driver backed their car into the rescue.”

No injuries were reported from the crash, but a replacement rescue unit had to be dispatched to handle the original emergency call.

West Melbourne Police Department is investigating the crash.
