Tropical Storm Dorian Forms in Atlantic

FOURTH NAMED STORM OF 2013 HURRICANE SEASON

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — The National Hurricane Center issued its first advisory about Tropical Storm Dorian, the fourth named Tropical Storm of the 2013 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

As of the latest update from the National Hurricane Center,Tropical Storm Dorian is located 14.3 N, 29.9 W, moving toward the West-Northwest near 21 MPH.

Maximum sustained winds are near 50 MPH, with higher gusts. Some slight strengthening is expected today, followed by gradual weakening on Thursday as Dorian moves over cooler water. According to the latest data from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm force winds extend outward up to 45 miles.
