UPDATE: Gavin Imes, 11, Identified By Police as Pedestrian In Fatal Vehicle Crash In Melbourne

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Gavin Imes, 11, of Melbourne, was struck and killed Friday afternoon at Post Road and Sherwood Boulevard.
According to Melbourne Police Lt. Trevor Shaffer, officers responded to the intersection of Post Road and Sherwood Boulevard Friday at 3:50 p.m. due to the vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.
“Upon arrival, they learned that an 11-year-old, identified as Gavin Imes, had been struck by a vehicle as he crossed Post Road at the crosswalk,” said Lt. Shaffer.
“Imes was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando where he succumbed to his injuries.”
Lt. Shaffer identified the driver of the vehicle that struck Imes as Tanner Ryan Duncan, 26, of Melbourne.
