Contract Worker Injured After Falling At Brevard County Wastewater Treatment Plant

Brevard Fire Rescue responded to an incident on Monday that involved a contract worker falling at Brevard County Wastewater Treatment Plant near the 10000 block on N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard Fire Rescue responded to an incident on Monday that involved a contract worker falling at Brevard County Wastewater Treatment Plant near the 10000 block on N. Wickham Rd. in Melbourne.

The worker was transported to a nearby trauma center via helicopter with injuries.

A spokesperson with Brevard County Fire Rescue(BCFR) says that a BCFR special ops team used a tower truck to hoist the worker out of the structure with a crane.

The structure was under construction at the time.

The status of the worker is not yet known.

The incident happened around 5 p.m.
