Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to a possible shark bite victim Saturday afternoon on Playalinda Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY • PLAYALINDA BEACH, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue units responded to a possible shark bite victim Saturday afternoon on Playalinda Beach.

The 14-year-old female victim was airlifted about 2 p.m. to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando after fire rescue personnel treated her for an injury to her upper leg.

A shark is suspected in the attack but has not been verified, stay tuned to Space Coast daily for an update.

On Friday, two people were reportedly hospitalized with shark bites while swimming in waters near Sadler Road in Fernandina Beach, Florida.
