Patriotism Award Winner Barry “Bear” Conaway Passes Away

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA — Barry “Bear” Conaway, 59, of Palm Bay passed away on Monday March 19, 2012 at his home.

He was the Founder and Director of the Bikers In Need Foundation formerly the Biker Coalition.

“Bear” was the Past President of Independence of ABATE, a member of the Treasure Coast and Brevard ABATE as well as American Legion Post 81.

He recently received the Patriotism Award by the Police Hall of Fame.

Survivors include his wife Ellen, son Barry, Jr., step daughters Becky and Tracy and step son Tom, mother Nancy, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday March 31st at 2pm at the Church of The Nazarene.

A celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 81 immediately after the service.
