Seminar Nears For Green Pesticide Applications

Pesticide training sponsored by the University of Florida Brevard County Extension Service and the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences will be held in Cocoa in April.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The University of Florida Brevard County Extension Service and the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences will offer pesticide training classes to the public in April.

A Green Industries Short Course will be held April 24 through 26 at the Cocoa Extension Office.

The three-day seminar is designed for pesticide applicators needing certification in ornamental and turf categories.

Green pesticides refer to all types of nature-oriented and beneficial pest control materials that contribute to reduce the pest population and increase food production.

The cost is $210 for the entire seminar and pre-registration is required.
