BIMDA Hosts 10th Annual Medical Expo

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — The Brevard Indo-American Medical & Dental Association (BIMDA), Florida’s leading Indian Medical organization, recently held their 10th Annual Medical Expo at the Melbourne Rialto Hilton.

The all day event was dedicated to medical education for professionals, and featured the theme ‘Technology Solutions in Healthcare Administration.

A number of leading technology vendors displayed products for the physician market, including medical software and pharmaceutical products.

Those in attendance included BIMDA President Dr. Gobi Balaji, BIMDA Founder Dr. Mahesh Soni,  Dr. Vincent Sciortino, Dr. Aravind Kumar, and Tony Scalese.

Also present were BIMDA Vice President Dr. Ravi Shankar, Dr. Sasi Kumar, Dr. Sharad Vyas, Dr. Emily Rothenberger, Glad Kurian and Brenda Stevens.

All-Volunteer Team of Doctors and Dentists

The Expo is coordinated by an all-volunteer team of doctors and dentists.  Health First, Parrish Medical Center, and Wuesthoff Health System were anchor sponsors for the event.

Additional sponsors included Brevard Physicians Network, Kindred Hospital and MorganStanley SmithBarney.

Physicians had the opportunity to earn six CME units (continuing education credits) during the Expo.  Lecture topics included endoscopic ultrasound and diabetic eye care.

The Expo has blossomed into one of the top educational and social events of its kind in the state.
