Cocoa Beach Fire Department Shines In Inspection

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Florida Department of Health’s Emergency Medical Services Bureau has praised the Cocoa Beach Fire Department after it conducted an unannounced inspection recently.

The Cocoa Beach Fire Department passed the unannounced inspection of their facility and equipment by the Florida Department of Health – Emergency Medical Services Bureau.

The official and random inspection included checks of the department’s personnel records; a review of its service records and facilities; a detailed look at Cocoa Beach’s fire and emergency vehicles and an analysis of all associated firefighting equipment.

Inspectors did not find any deficiencies during the inspection and noted in their report that the Cocoa Beach Fire Department maintained excellent personnel records and that the department’s firetruck Engine 51 was clean and well-supplied,

All Cocoa Beach crew members were cited as “polite and familiar with their equipment.”

The inspectors said Cocoa Beach Fire Deoartment Lieutenant Todd Musolff and Administrative Assistant Rhonda Hunsinger were especially helpful and cooperative during the unannounced inspection.
