David Marshall Pate Passed Away

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOUNRE, FLORIDA — David Marshall Pate, 56, of West Melbourne, died on April 4, 2012 at his home in West Melbourne.

A carpenter by trade, Mr. Pate was a 45-year resident of Melbourne Beach.

He had attended Indialantic, Hoover, Holy Trinity, and Melbourne High schools.

During 25 years in the construction business, his workmanship included the framing of the Downtown Melbourne Library, Holmes Medical Center’s Garage, and Eastminster Church’s Fellowship Hall; also construction of numerous beachside dwellings.

He is survived by his mother, Mary-Elizabeth Pate; brother, Stephen D. Pate of  S. Melbourne Beach; sisters Laura Smith of Lillington, North Carolina and Margo Trofholz of Omaha, Nebraska; 3 nieces, and 2 nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on April 13th, at Ryckman Park in Melbourne Beach.
