Palm Bay Chamber Mayor’s Breakfast Set For May 22

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce will present the spring 2012 Mayor’s Breakfast on Thursday, May 22, according to Vicki Northrup, president & CEO.

Representatives from all cities and towns in Southern Brevard are invited to speak on topics concerning their respective cities. Senators Thad Altman and Mike Haridopolos as well as Congressman Bill Posey are also invited to present as well as County Commissioner Andy Anderson, Mary Bolin and Trudie Infantini.

The breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. followed by the program at 9.

Seven local mayors are invited including John Mazziotti from Palm Bay, Harry Goode from Melbourne, Jim Hill of Sebastian, Tom Eschenberg from Malabar, Hal Rose from West Melbourne, Del Yonts from Grant-Valkaria and Susan Adams from Fellsmere.

“The attendance last year was fantastic,” said Northrup.

“This is indicative that our businesses are seeking information from their elected officials during these economic times. We expect a record turnout again this year.”

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce 2012 Mayor’s Breakfast will be held at the Holiday Inn Express at 1206 Malabar Road in Palm Bay, who is also a sponsor for the event. The Chamber is currently seeking additional sponsors. The cost to attend is $10 for Chamber members and $20 for non-members. The event is open to the public.

The Chamber holds their monthly networking luncheon on the first Wednesday of each month at the Life Care Center of Palm Bay at 175 Villa Nueva Ave NE off Malabar Road, just west of Palm Bay Hospital.

Networking begins at 11:15 with lunch and program starting at noon. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members or at the door.

The Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, formed in 1989, has more than 900 active and prospective members and is accredited with the US Chamber of Commerce with a four-star ranking, a distinguished honor bestowed to select Chambers and the only chamber in the US aligned with an international “sister” chamber in Cashel, Ireland.

The 2012 Palm Bay Chamber Trustees include Health First, Waste Management, City of Palm Bay, Florida Power and Light Company, Intersil, Comfort Suites, WMS Construction and Global Building Services.
