8th Space Coast Symposium & Expo Set for August 21 in Cape Canaveral
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, Florida Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly to Serve as Keynote Speakers
BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Business leaders, innovators and industry experts will gather in Cape Canaveral for the 8th Space Coast Symposium & Expo on Friday, August 21.
Presented by the Greater Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, the event will run from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Radisson Resort at the Port, located at 8701 Astronaut Boulevard.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman and Florida Secretary of Commerce J. Alex Kelly are scheduled to serve as keynote speakers.
The annual symposium will highlight emerging technologies and major initiatives in space, technology, manufacturing, defense and science. Attendees will hear directly from prominent industry leaders whose companies and organizations are helping drive economic growth and innovation throughout Florida’s Space Coast.
The event has expanded after outgrowing its previous location at the Astronaut Memorial Foundation at Kennedy Space Center. Last year’s symposium sold out, attracting nearly 700 attendees, while more than 200 additional visitors attended the accompanying expo.
This year’s program will feature several panel discussions examining issues with major implications for Brevard County and the nation.
“Launching Futures: Building the Space Coast Workforce Pipeline” will address efforts to prepare students and workers for careers in the region’s expanding aerospace and technology industries. Panelists include representatives from Space Florida, Brevard Public Schools, KEY Innovative Solutions and Coyne Workforce Solutions.
Another panel, “Unmanned Systems: Transforming Defense, Industry & Airspace,” will feature experts from the Florida Department of Transportation, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Wisk, Florida Tech and Safeskies Systems USA.
The “Golden Dome: Strengthening National Security Through Space Collaboration” panel will bring together leaders from L3Harris Technologies, Kegman, Northrop Grumman and the University of Central Florida.
The symposium will also examine the region’s growing manufacturing sector during “Advanced Manufacturing: Powering the Space Coast Economy.” Featured panelists will represent the Manufacturers Association of Central Florida, Sidus Space and Lockheed Martin.
Admission is $100 for Chamber partners, $125 for future Chamber partners and guests, and $75 for students. Students must contact the Chamber office to register.
